Special Teacher Awards of 4 iPad2's

Teacher Participation Awards (2 iPad2's)

iPad2's will be presented to two registered teachers in Canadian schools. The teacher must have at least one project (any grade level) satisfactorily completed. The winners will be selected by a draw from all eligible teachers.

Teacher Recruitment Awards (2 iPad2's)

One iPad2 for a BC teacher 7-9 or 10 -12 Level

One iPad2 for a teacher outside BC (in Canada) Teacher 7-9 or 10 -12 Level

In an effort to involve more middle and secondary schools in the VSF, two iPad2's will be awarded to teachers based on the following criteria:

The teacher is able to recruit (after April 4, 2011) a new teacher from a different school (grade 7 and above) to participate in the 2011 VSF. The new teacher must have at least 2 teams register that satisfactorily complete acceptable (cum laude level) projects. The teacher with the most recruited new teachers wins an iPod2. In the event of a tie, the total number of satisfactorily completed projects (level 7 - 12) by the new and recruited teacher will win.

The recruited teachers should indicate the recruiting teacher's name in the "comments" section of the registration form. The recruiting teacher may also wish to email Larry to ensure the new teacher is counted in his/her total recruitments.

The reason for BC to be in a separate group is that some of the funding was provided by BC's The Year of Science and was specifically designated to be used to promote science in BC.
