Experimental vs Descriptive Project Types |
|
| Experimental | Descriptive |
| An Experimental Project is an investigation, where you form a hypothesis, design and conduct experiments, record data, and draw a conclusion from your data. | A Descriptive Project explains and demonstrates a scientific principle. It is based on fact-finding through extensive library and other research. |
| All Grades may submit either type of project. There will be no distinction between the two types and there is no need for you to identify your project as one of these types. The description above is simply to indicate the types of projects possible. | |
